چکیده
Stabilized landfill leachate contains a wide variety of highly concentrated non-biodegradable organics, which are extremely toxic to the environment. Though numerous techniques have been developed for treatment, advanced membrane filtration is one most environmentally friendly methods purify wastewater effectively. In current study, novel polymeric was produced by integrating powdered activated carbon (PAC) on polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) synthesize thin using phase inversion method. The design optimized response surface methodology (RSM). fabricated effectively applied stabilized cross-flow ring (CFR) test. findings suggested that properties were enhanced through incorporation PAC. optimum removal efficiencies (14.9 wt.% PVDF, 1.0 PAC) 35.34, 48.71, and 22.00% COD, colour NH3-N, respectively. Water flux transmembrane pressure also incorporated PAC recorded 61.0 L/m2·h 0.67 bar, respectively, under conditions efficiency. Moreover, performance membranes in terms pollutant removal, pure water permeation, different morphological characteristics systematically analyzed. Despite limited achievement, might be improved addition hydrophilic additive, study offers an efficient way fabricate PVDF-PAC optimize its treatability RSM tool.

semi-aerobic leachate is characterized by organic matter (cod, bod) which is relatively low in concentration and difficult to biodegrade. in conventional treatment systems, the low biodegradability is attributed to partial stabilization of leachate at the landfill. biological treatment of leachate in malaysia is not well established and any important data for the treatment process is not availa...
متن کاملEfficient Immobilised TiO2 in Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) Membrane for Photocatalytic Degradation of Methylene Blue
Immobilised titanium dioxide (TiO2) in membrane structures has recently become attractive. This is due to the elimination of the separation step after the process of photocatalytic degradation. The efficiency of the TiO2 surface area exposed to UV light as the main important parameter needs to be considered. The immobilisation of TiO2 nanoparticles in the polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane...
متن کاملA Mathematical Model for Adsorption of Surfactant onto Powdered Activated Carbon
The main objectives of this study were to remove surface-active agents and to predict the adsorption rejection models. The effects of surfactant concentration and PAC amount on the adsorption were determined. For both surfactants, It was found that the adsorption values also increased when PAC amount increased. It was observed that the rejection values are different for the adsorption of C...
متن کاملUpgrading of Biological Treatment for Landfill Leachate by Nano-Membrane Systems
Treatment of landfill leachate is challenging, due to its characteristics such as age, dumping place, composition and origin of wastes. For this reason, the application of hybrid processes is helpful for complete treatment of contaminants present in the leachates. The addition of membrane operations to biological treatment technology offers new advantages for this method. For this aim, a bench-...
